TREE-MAIL
Dear Tree of Hope, I want to thank you so much for the
wonderful Christmas program and presents. My children were overjoyed
and they discovered they were not the only children who have lost their
father. Many time they have felt left out and different from other kids
because their father is gone forever. But they know that they are not
strange or this has just happened to them. The presents were right on
time-I had already told the children that they would have to wait until
after Christmas to get "a" present and now they have several
nice presents and my youngest said "Daddy sent us these" Please
let me know if I can help out some kind of way. Thank you and may God
Bless this wonderful organization. Love Valerie Jones

Dear Tree of Hope, me and the kids thank all of you for
helping us with the school clothes, many people don't realize that we
will never have the "breadwinner" back in our family and we
fend for ourselves! I couldn't afford to do this on my own, I have the
two oldest children to buy school clothes for as well as feeding and
clothing all four. Since Jamie was killed I now have to buy everything
he used to buy and pay all the bills - it has been real hard and I really
appreciate what you guys have done. It is a blessing you have come to
our aid....Michelle Saunders

To the Tree of Hope; I know that we have said thanks for
all the services that you have helped us with, but we want you to know
what it means to us because it has been a real strain, we are all banding
together to take care of the children my brother left behind, when they
senselessly took his life six years ago. They didn't think about these
children or us when they pulled that trigger, we are the victims-we
are so thankful for the Tree of Hope...maybe one day the violence will
stop! Sincerely, Ta-Tasha Monk

Dear Ms. Young and the Tree of Hope, I thank you
so much for the scholarship! Since Richard was killed I often felt like
giving up-but everytime I look at the kids I know that I can't. Working,
going to school and trying to raise five kids is a very tall order,
but with the help of the Tree of Hope I know we can make it! The twins
were only babies so they probably won't remember Richard-but I will
help to keep his memory alive. The children enjoyed the art program
and were able to talk freely about Richard with the psychologists there
and the other kids...thank you so much and please inform us of any other
programs you will have. Love, Mercedes
